ReplyDeleteBingo Shelly, he's drying his wings! Apparently their feathers are not waterproof and they get waterlogged when they dive underwater. See....not just a pretty face..ha! :)
DeleteThea do you actually know the names of the bird species you see, or do you go home and Google? :) I swear (pun) there is a "F U!" bird in our yard. That's what it sounds like he's saying, anyway! Honey something or other.
ReplyDeleteI know a lot more about birds than I ever did before after I started snapping them. This one is called an Australian Darter. Would love to know what the FU bird is...too funny!
