but I did love checking out the red carpet looks.

I was smitten with Zooey Deschanel...and her outfit!

There's nothing like a fire at an outdoor party in the country.
This one is from my niece's 21st last year.

From cool blues and aquas last week
to red hot fiery reds and oranges this week.
What a difference a week makes!

Last week I played the winner of X-Factor on my Tuesday's Tune.
Bella was fourth.
Her voice is amazing!

a Set - Friday's Fancies - Emerald City

This week the theme is...

Apparently Pantone's colour of the year for 2013 is Emerald.

I don't know what Pantone is.

But I do know I love emerald!

And I also love emerald cut diamonds.

Wouldn't it be nice to have one of these?

a Snap a Set & a Song - Heatwave

my Snap

It first hit down south.
Then ever so kindly moved up so we wouldn't miss out.
We are at day two of a six day heatwave.
This is the end of the steamy day one, yesterday.

my Set

Some people like to hit the beach when it gets hot.
Not me!
That's the last place I want to be.
Tooooooooo hot!
It doesn't matter how much sunscreen I put on, I always get burnt.
Give me a cool pool in the shade, preferably with a cocktail bar.
And these colours make me feel 10 degrees cooler already.

Here's another tune I discovered whilst searching for the perfect SS&S song.
I love how they've used Tarzan Boy.
