I did and I was so pleased when Samantha Jade won.
She looks and sounds like the perfect little pop star.
And I loved her winner's single.
But I am pretty disappointed with the video.

a Snap a Set and a Song - Theme 40
The theme for this week's Snap, Set & Song is -

a Set - Friday's Fancies - New Year--New You

This week the theme is...
On New Year's Eve my husband and I realized that we didn't get a single date alone last year.
Not one!
So this new year, I would love to have at least five dates.
For Valentine's Day, his birthday, our wedding anniversary, my birthday, and one...just because...
And these are the outfits I would love to wear.

a Snap a Set & a Song - Fireworks
my Snap
One thing that goes with New Year celebrations are fireworks.
We didn't see any this year, but we did hear them from my mother-in-law's back patio at Caloundra.
This snap was taken when the local show was in town in 2010.
We can see the fireworks from the end of our back lane.

my Set
We had a very quiet, very casual New Year's Eve.
Which was fine by me!
Fish 'n' chips and some bubbles...all is good.
I managed to talk my husband into staying up until midnight to watch the Sydney fireworks on the telly.
So my set is not what I actually wore on NYE (my pjs!)
Oh no no!!
It's another fantasy set, because they are the best kind, right?

Can you believe it's 2013?
It always takes me until about March before the new year feels real.
Anyhow, here's my song to ring in the New Year.
"New Girl" was one of our favourite shows of 2012, so I thought this one was perfect!
I hope 2013 is a great year for all of us.
