I love his voice.

And the fact that we share a birthday makes him that bit more special to me.

Apparently there's a shopping holiday called Black Friday Sales in America.

I'd never heard of this, but I love fashion based on black.

So here's my black set...

my Snap
Last weekend there were storms all over south east Queensland.
Except for here.
We got a little bit of rain, but not enough.
It's crazy to think it was flooding at the beginning of the year.
Now it is so dry.
However, we were caught in the middle of a heavy downpour driving home from the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

If you're going to get caught out in the rain, you may as well brighten things up a bit!

 

my Song

This is the song that always pops into my head when it rains.





Perhaps I should be doing a rain dance!

It's so far removed from Autumn here right now.

In fact we're having a heat wave and severe thunderstorms are imminent.

Red

my Snap
I've never been a fan of red.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say I hated red.
But then a funny thing happened.
I became interested in photography and all of a sudden I saw the beauty in red!

It was a toss up between a Simply Red song and this one this week.
Wine always wins!
I'd never seen the video before.

It's a lot of her old songs, reworked with orchestral backing.

Friday's Fancies - Bonfire Beauties

I'm thrilled to have found a new fashion linky to join...

This week the theme is...

I'm having a stab in the dark here because we don't have bonfire nights.
I don't even know what s'mores are!

But this is what I'd love to wear if I was sitting around a bonfire.
(I'd also love the figure to be able to fit into those pants!)

Clouds

my Snap(s)
I've taken millions of photos of clouds, well maybe not that many, but close!
I've snapped dark stormy clouds, wispy barely-there clouds, pink clouds, orange clouds, fiery red clouds.
But this was the most amazing cloud I've photographed.
I took these just over a year ago, when I was at the duck pond with my brother and his family.
Right across the sky, immediately above our heads, were what looked like giant angel's wings.
I couldn't fit it all into my camera's frame so I have to show you as a series of three.
It was one of the most wonderous things I've ever seen.

My set is inspired by white fluffy clouds and angels.

My song this week is a groovy little tune by Jack Johnson.

I love watching the Graham Norton Show.
Because it's ridiculously funny...
...and he often has a great song at the end of the show.
This week Robbie Williams was a guest on the couch and sang this song.
I'd not heard it before but loved it straight away so immediately searched for it on You Tube.
The video is a tad insane, but that's Robbie.
I like it!
And not just because he's wearing pink!!
